Charlotte Mullarkey, Pathways Committee

Charlotte joined Allen & Overy in 1998, and qualified as a solicitor in the Corporate Department in 2000. She spent six years working in the legal team at Accenture before re-joining A&O in 2010. Charlotte has significant experience in arrangements for the exploitation of intellectual property, outsourcing and procurement transactions, IT/technology law, data privacy (including data breaches), and system build and integration agreements.

Charlotte writes many publications for (and with) clients, responds to EU consultations, and regularly assists journalists with articles in her area. She lectures on issues in the commercial field, particularly on changing data protection law in the EU, intellectual property topics and contract law/practice in commercial agreements. She is also a very active member of several privacy associations.

Charlotte is a lay member on the Ealing Safeguarding Children Board. The core duty of the ESCB is to ensure that there are adequate arrangements in place across agencies in Ealing to protect children from harm and promote the welfare of children.

Charlotte graduated in Theology from Lady Margaret Hall, Oxford in 1996. She is a keen tennis player who competes in the Middlesex League (with mixed results) and she lives with her husband and three children in West London.
