I have worked in the Investment Management industry for over 20 years across the Front Office, Distribution, IT and Operational areas at Morgan Grenfell, Dresdner RCM, Threadneedle Asset Management, Henderson Global Investors and Schroders. I joined Schroders in May 2005 as COO Fixed Income and in 2014 moved into a cross-asset class role as Head of Investment Operations.

I am passionate about helping women have the skills, courage and self belief to get ahead, and I have successfully sponsored and mentored a number of women, all of whom have gone on to take the next step towards fulfilling their potential. As Chair of the Schroders Network of Women I am trying to actively drive forward gender equality at Schroders, working to raise awareness through open debate, remove barriers to progress, support women at Schroders and nurture our pipeline of female talent.

I have an incredibly supportive husband who took a career break to look after our gorgeous son, they are both extremely energetic and active so I have to stay fit to keep up! I love running and have completed quite a few marathons including the London marathon three times, however my main passion is yoga as it keeps me flexible, strong and sane.

If I could go back and give my 20-year-old self advice, I would say: “Always turn up with your authentic self, grab on to every opportunity that comes along, celebrate your female strengths rather than trying to act like a man, and don’t sweat the small stuff.”
