Career Pathways events are organised by London Women’s Forum (LWF) Board of Directors in partnership with ‘best-in-class’ professional and personal development providers, and are free to LWF members

We are pleased to invite LWF members to a breakfast event on Thursday, April 7 at 8.30 – 10am  at Thomson Reuters offices which are conveniently located in close proximity to Canary Wharf station.  Breakfast will be available from 8.30am.

In a world of conferences, interviews and media events, we know that many senior women are often asked to represent either themselves or their firms in often challenging public forums and usually with little or no training. This event is aimed at providing key skills, tips and tricks for our members whether it’s speaking at conferences, chairing or speaking on panels. There will be plenty of time for Q&A to expand the discussion and to ask Caroline for advice on situations pertinent to members own roles.

Caroline Goyder is a presentation and speaker coach and author of “Gravitas” (Random House, 2014). She taught Voice at Royal Central School of Speech and Drama in London and helps business people, politicians and broadcasters develop their spoken style so they can express themselves better, and become more effective leaders.

She has spent the last 10 years developing a system to help her non-acting clients learn to express themselves with power, influence and gravitas in meetings, phone calls, conferences and pitches. Her client list ranges from high profile CEOs to TV news anchors, working with organisations such as HSBC, BT, Bloomberg and Red Cross. She is a regular conference speaker and has appeared as an expert on Radio 4’s Word of Mouth, BBC 2’s The Speaker, BBC4’s The Voice and BBC Breakfast. Her work has featured in Red, Hello, Oprah, The Daily Telegraph, The Guardian, The Times, the Financial Times and The Sunday Times. Caroline speaks regularly at Henley Business School, The School of Life and London Business Forum. Her 2014 TEDx talk has been watched nearly 1 million times.

We are pleased to invite LWF members to a breakfast event on Thursday, May 5 at 8.30 – 10am  at Allen & Overy offices at One Bishops Square, E1 6AD.  Breakfast will be available from 8.30am.

Performing brilliantly at a senior level involves more than just technical expertise; it requires commanding presence, excellent communication skills and supreme confidence.

The Royal Academy of Dramatic Art (RADA) in Business have been working with women leaders across industries to develop the skills and techniques to find their voice, hold their space and communicate with impact – so that when you speak, others listen.

RADA in Business will run a practical session for LWF Members in which you will learn and try out different skills and strategies to improve your impact.

The seminar will be led by a senior RADA tutor, who is a performance expert and accredited voice coach with deep experience of working with business leaders across the globe.
